The challenge they faced on Lil-Lets Amazon

RT7 identified three areas for potential recoveries after auditing the account:

  1. Amounts owed in Shortages

  2. Amounts owed in Overages

  3. A software glitch in their invoicing process leading to amounts owed (only discovered because the team were reviewing the entire account).

The solution we provided

A software update by Amazon was not detected resulting in invoices being raised incorrectly resulting in non-payment from Amazon. RT7, upon discovering the invoice error advised Lil-lets who adjusted the API links to ensure future invoices were processed. RT7 also manually created new invoices against the list incorrect invoices and resubmitted to Amazon.

Implementation

The RT7 Recoveries team started this process in February 2023 with an in-depth forensic audit of the entire account and submitted documentation to Amazon in March 2023. In May, the client signed off the updated scope of work that included the invoicing software issue. Full payment from Amazon was received within three months.

The results

  • RT7 was able to recover over £100,000.00 for the client regarding the software invoice issues.

  • An additional £46,000.00 was retrieved from shortages.

  • The team is still working on the overages issue and expects more payments from Amazon.

  • RT7 has also trained the Lil-Lets team on processes and adjustments to mitigate against issues in the future.
